Online Poker Terminology - Online Poker Company Looses Money
The new US legislation regarding online gambling industry is starting to affect most of the businesses involved. Online casino sites and online poker rooms are all starting to think about the nearest future and what will happen to them. According to The Guardian newspaper, one of the most successful online poker companies will have to leave the top online poker and casinos list, because of the recent legislation.
The company's shares suffered from a major decrease since the bill was passed recently, so the online poker company had to give up the desirable place in the FTSE 100 index and to be downgraded to the FTSE 250 index. The online poker company, that a year ago had become the only online poker and casino company to ever achieve the privileged club of 100 biggest companies in Britain, as its share were constantly growing back then.
However because of the US crack down on the online gambling financial institutions the online poker company's shares were ruined. Over £4 billion was erased from the stockmarket value of the online gambling sector while the online poker company alone lost around £2 billion. And the damages do not stop, as the shares keep decreasing and investors are running away. Another online casino and poker company, whose shares were damaged too, said they have requested "the share suspension due to a fundamental uncertainty over its ability to continue trading".
